GOD, THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE!
“Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth”; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously.” 1Peter 2:22-23
Ponder.
Here, we read that there was no deceit in the mouth of Jesus. In spite of being holy, Jesus was reviled and suffered, yet He did not revile back or threaten the persecutors. In human terms, he had all the right to defend himself and prove himself to be right. But he left it to God, the Father, who judges righteously. If we believe that we are children of God, then we need to imitate his same response while going through persecution. How is our response when we have never committed anything wrong and yet been persecuted?
Commit.
Are we willing to surrender? Do we trust in Him wholeheartedly?
Pray.
Let’s pray that we will be able to reflect and respond the same way as Christ did when He was persecuted.
