THROUGH CHERITH TO CARMEL
“Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith.” 1Kings 17:3_

It was God’s plan that Elijah had to drink from the brook of Cherith before he could ascend to Mt. Carmel. God knew Elijah’s faith had to mature before He could bring down rain on Carmel. He was being taught to trust the Lord to feed him at the brook. As the Lord was making Elijah pass through the fire of trials, he was being revived by the water of life. Like a plane gathering momentum for take-off, Elijah was being recharged for what he had to do for God at Carmel. Cherith was God’s training for the great things Elijah had to do. The Cheriths in our lives are God-chosen preparations for all the Carmels that He wants for His glory.
