HOPE FOR THE WEAK

“A bruised reed He will not break, and a smouldering wick He will not snuff out. In faithfulness He will bring forth justice.” Isaiah 42:3

*Ponder*.
A bruised reed and a smouldering wick are used in this scripture to describe those who are broken-hearted, defeated, or even weak in their faith. The world looks upon these as weak and useless, but they are precious in the sight of the Lord. The gentleness and compassion of our Saviour are revealed in this scripture, as he is close to those who are struggling, and He will bring justice to those who are suffering injustice for His sake.

*Commit*.
When we feel broken-hearted or weak in our faith, we must remember that our Lord is gentle, compassionate, and so close to us during these times in our lives.

*Pray*.
Let us humbly pray and thank the Lord that He is a just and compassionate God and tender-hearted towards those who are struggling.
