DIAMONDS ARE BUILT UNDER PRESSURE!
“And her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable, because the Lord had closed her womb.” 1Samuel 1:6
Ponder.
Hannah had a very comfortable life with a husband who loved her more than ten sons. The fact that she never had children would never have affected her unless Peninnah stood as a rival for her. She, in the same family, provoked Hannah and irritated her to the core, which made Hannah break down in the Lord’s presence, crying out for a son. The result was the birth of ‘Samuel’ who, in all of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, established himself as a prophet of the LORD. The presence of Peninnah became a reason for the Lord to fulfil His purpose. Many times, the persecution can stand as a cause for us to cry out to the Lord, which will eventually give birth to many Samuels through us.
Commit.
Are we able to sense the Lord’s purposes unravelling through the suffering we endure?
Pray.
Let’s pray that every persecution will give birth to the greater purposes of the Lord through our lives.
