WITHOUT FEAR
_”And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.” Philippians 1:14_
*Ponder*.
Paul’s circumstances and imprisonment had an impact in two parts: firstly, it served as a witness to the unbelievers who knew that Paul was imprisoned for his faith in Christ and not because he was a criminal; secondly, it served to encourage the other believers in the faith. God uses unusual circumstances to help us overcome our fear. When we are undergoing persecution—perhaps imprisonment, rejection from our family, or abuse—let us not underestimate the impact that our stand for Christ has, as this may serve to encourage our brothers and sisters in the faith who may be dealing with fear and help them to overcome this in order to proclaim the Gospel with confidence. God uses such circumstances for His Glory, the same way He did with the Apostle Paul.
*Commit*.
Can we proclaim that the difficulties we face for the sake of the Gospel has served as an encouragement to our fellow believers?
*Pray*.
Let us pray that God will use our circumstances as a witness to our persecutors and an encouragement to other believers in the faith.
