THE LORD’S HAND
_The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. Acts 11:21_

The killing of Stephen caused the church to scatter, and one may think that this is the end of the church and the Gospel, but it had the opposite effect. The Lord used the killing of Stephen and the persecution the early church was facing for His Glory. His mighty hand was with the believers as they continued in the zeal of the Lord to take the Good News of Jesus to the lost, to their persecutors, and to those who were desperate for the hope of our Savior. They reaped a great harvest then, as the Lord will bring a great harvest for us now. God moves in situations of persecution where we think there is no hope.
*Commit*.
Are we allowing persecution to discourage us, or do we trust that the Lord is at work through us so that many will turn to Him?
*Pray*.
Let us pray and thank the Lord that where He leads us, even in persecution, His Hand will be over us to continue with His work.
