THE LORD OF ALL CREATION
“And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.” 1King 17:4
Ponder.
God commands ravens to feed Elijah! Ravens by character only preyed but never provided! At God’s command, they acted contrary to their natural instincts. Remember, the lions did not touch Daniel!
As birds, ravens were known to neglect their young, but here you find them looking after Elijah’s needs! God controlled their natural inclinations while he also employed them. God did not employ angels but ravens because He wanted Elijah to understand, too, that He uses even the meanest of creatures for His purposes. God was telling Elijah that he could trust Him to provide in any and every circumstance and use even unfit instruments for His service. It magnified God’s power and encouraged Elijah to trust Him more!
Commit.
When God can feed Elijah through ravens, can He not transcend and transform every impossible situation we are facing?
Pray.
Let us pray for greater faith to expect the impossible to happen for His glory.
