Persecution Relief Advocate Sabu Thomas visited Pastor Jose Pulluvellil and his wife Elamma in Khalilabad Jail in Uttar Pradesh.
Let us Praise God that they both are doing absolutely fine and rejoicing in the Lord that they are able to use their imprisonment as an opportunity to serve the inmates and have fellowship with them, encouraging everyone to love one another with the joy of the Lord and to respect every officials.
An FIR was filed against the couple on 11/12/23 under The Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Law, 2020 3,5(1) & 298.
Adv. Sabu Thomas [Persecution Relief] has submitted a fresh bail application on sessions court in the Sant Kabir Nagar district. The bail hearing is scheduled on 21 December for sis. Elsamma Jones. Church, please continue praying for their release on bail.
We should remember that Paul wrote from his imprisonment saying that we must “Rejoice in the Lord always,” Philippians 4:4, in whatever the circumstances. Every Christian should rejoice in the person and work of Jesus Christ. He is our ultimate source and reason for our joy.
