“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Luke 6:27-28

Ponder.
Today, we may be considered enemies by people who do not love Christ. We may be falsely accused and carry bruises. We are called to pray for those who mistreat us. Even when the soldiers spit on Jesus and mocked Him, He did not retaliate. Jesus spent time with the Father and drew His strength through the fellowship to face persecution. He was spiritually strong. This enabled Him to love His enemies by calling Judas His friend. He was able to heal the ear of the servant of the High Priest in Gethsemane.

Will our actions show that we love our enemies? Are we willing to bless them with our hearts?

Pray
Let us pray for our persecutors daily without getting weary of doing good.
