Joy is the result of knowing that Jesus, who overcame every trial and temptation, will enable us to go through our stormy tribulations. Jesus has not promised us smooth sailing; instead, a safe landing. When we travel through the Sea of Persecution, Jesus will steer us through it as long as we remember to rejoice because our hope is in Jesus. We have to be patient while going through our storms and not give up when the going gets tough. We have to stay connected to Jesus through constant prayer. As long as our eyes are not on the tribulations but on the Master, the tribulations will not master us.
