✝️ *PERSECUTION CASE UPDATES*

1. The following *13 believers have been booked, and their bail was rejected by the Honourable Sessions Court in Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh state*.

Sonu Kumar, Pankaj Saroj, Sachin, Anil, Ram Milan, Sona Devi, Aarti Devi, Shivani Yadav, Anjula, Rekha Devi, Sangeeta Saroj, Shivani Saroj, and Harishiv.

They were booked under *Sections 191(2), 352, 351(3), 299, and 196(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3 and 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021.*

2. *Pastor Pankaj and Pastor Samuel Pal* were returning after a house prayer meeting in a village in *Sambalpur district, Odisha state.*

After travelling some distance, a few people stopped their bike and started beating them very badly, accusing them of conversion.

Pastor Samuel had recently met with an accident, and his broken leg was injured again in today’s attack.

Church, pray for their speedy recovery. 🙏

3. *Pastor Sumit Masey, Brother Amit Masey, Sister Sarita, and Brother Satyapal* from *Bareilly district, Uttar Pradesh state*, were arrested based on allegations of illegal religious conversions and were sent to jail. An FIR has been registered under *Section 299 and Sections 3 and 5(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021.*

It is always encouraging and inspiring to hear testimonies from Persecuted Saints who come out of jail.

*Pastor Tapan Bauri from West Bengal state*, testified his amazing testimony in Persecution Relief Sunday worship with the Persecuted. He was accused of conversion and was sent to jail for seven days. He was really frightened initially because his wife was six months pregnant, but God encouraged him through Matthew 5:11.

His wife said don’t worry about me you go and do what the Lord desires from you. His 4 Church believers were already in the jail and when he met them they all were very sad and discouraged but after seeing their Pastor they all were happy.

Pastor’s mother gave him a piece of paper encouraging from Bible and that piece of paper was a blessing to Pastor and others who were in the jail. Mother gave the paper about Jesus to encourage her son.

When he came across one inmate who was a murderer, he shared the paper his mother had given him, which gave that man great hope that there is in a loving God who forgives all sins unconditionally.

He was very discouraged to see so many youngsters in their 20s.

After witnessing the deep pain people were experiencing in the jail, he never wanted to come out.
