CRUSHED BUT NOT DESTROYED!
“_They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land”. Psalm 74:8_
*Ponder*.
The Chaldeans attempted to defeat the Israelites mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. They had attacked Jerusalem’s very heart, the temple. They believed that by destroying the place of worship, they could subdue the people. However, that did not occur.
Satan attacks the heart of our spiritual being—our place of worship, which serves as a sanctuary and a source of comfort in times of trouble.
He lives within us—in our heart, mind, soul, and spirit—so that even if places of worship are vandalised and destroyed and we are persecuted and killed, nothing can kill our love for God or separate us from His love. Our spirit will never be subdued.
*Commit*.
Can the enemy ever destroy our faith in God by demolishing man-made structures? Can he destroy our love for God?
*Pray*.
Let us ask the Lord to help us strengthen our faith, and let no act of the enemy ever separate us from His love.
