This account is of men whose names are not even mentioned but who were instrumental in taking the Gospel to the Gentiles and thus sparking the spread of the Good News to all nations. This action was ignited by the persecution and ultimate death of Stephen, which is a great encouragement for us. We may often think that persecution means the end of the spread of the Gospel, however, we see in this scripture and the action of the early church that persecution actually caused the Gospel to be spread even beyond the borders of Israel, broke barriers, and reached the Gentiles as well.

In the face of persecution, do we see it as a spark that ignites the Spirit of God to work through these situations?
*Pray*.
Let us pray that God will use every situation of persecution to reveal His Glory and break through barriers to reach the lost.
