In a letter to the school management, Dr. Rawat stated that the published invitation card carried Christian religious symbols and also quoted words from the Bible. Registering his objection, he wrote that this stands against the secular and democratic traditions of India and amounts to both direct and indirect insult to Bharat Mata.

He further noted that the present era is one of heritage and development, where the prominence and expression of local values are essential. Therefore, institutions must refrain from such tendencies, and under these circumstances, his presence in the program would not be possible.
It is noteworthy that missionary schools have previously issued such invitations, but this is the first time that a leader in Mewar has taken such a stern step.
