OUR POWERFUL WEAPON

_“So, Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.” Acts 12:5_

*Ponder*.
What a powerful weapon the church has in prayer! We see how the power of prayer resulted in Peter’s miraculous escape from prison. Even though the situation seemed hopeless, God miraculously and wonderfully answered the church’s sincere prayers. In hopeless situations, let us find ourselves on our knees before our Heavenly Father. The outcome may not be what we want, but it will always be according to God’s perfect will and plan. It was certain that Peter would be executed the next day; however, this did not discourage the church from praying for him. Rather than being discouraged by the circumstances surrounding our imprisoned brothers and sisters, let us approach the Lord in earnest prayer.

*Commit*.
Do we allow situations against the church to discourage us, or do we seek the Lord in prayer with faith?

*Pray*.
Let us pray that we will not allow the enemy to discourage us, and in all circumstances, we will seek the Lord in prayer.
