Video of anti-minority rant goes viral, Tamil Nadu
A video by Saraswathi Shakthi Sena Hindu Makkal organisation, Head of the women’s wing for Tamil Nadu State, propagating fear in Christians and Muslims has gone viral in Tamil Nadu.
The 9:48 minute video of a lady, whose identity is undisclosed, claims that she belongs to the Shakti Sena organisation, which is a Hindu fringe outfit.
The Lady threatens all-out aggression and protests against Christians and Muslims, if they object to the ‘Hindutva’ ideology or pose any obstruction to their Hindu religious practices and Hindu values. She claims that the party will intensify their agitation against those who allegedly claim ‘Minority’ status label and reap benefits in the State. She was also highly critical of secular policies and practices adhered by the local Political parties in Tamil Nadu towards minorities.
The Lady goes on to call all Christians as “dogs”, asking them to leave Tamil Nadu, claiming Christians are apparently only interested in ‘Conversion activities”.
The divisive language, discriminating the community on the grounds of caste and religion, injecting and subjecting the minority groups to anger and fear is condemnable. We have seen the rise of divisive politics of what is described as nationalism. The fact that this lady has so brazenly posted this video, expressing openly and bluntly, her hatred towards Christians and Muslims, is a cause for worry.
Pray for people like these who belongs to various radical religious forces who are emboldened in furthering their agenda with impunity. Even though we are citizens of India, because of our faith in the living God and Saviour Jesus Christ, we are being treated as second-class citizens.
Pray for the enemies of the gospel. While we pray for the good of our enemy, we pray that God would restrain their evil actions.
Jesus always taught us to love the enemy, let’s continue loving them and praying for them.
