Sunday Worship Service held near the highway, Uttarakhand

Open air, Sunday worship service held, as Police watched, Uttarakhand

Pastor Maniyal Masih, is ministering at Ebenezer House of Prayer Church, in Selaqui town, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand

Unidentified religious fanatics had lodged a complaint with the Police that the Pastor was involved in conversion activities. On Saturday 21/4/18 night the local Police Choki officials called Bro. Bharat Shah, at whose residence Worship Service was being held for the last one year. He was handed a letter from the  SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate) of Dehradun, that no worship service should take place going forward. They were warned that if they continued to worship at the residence, they would be in serious trouble.

However, on Sunday, 22nd April 2018, as usual more than 80 believers gathered outside the Church. Police officials who arrived at the scene, did not permit anybody to go to the worship place. As the believers had no other option, they gathered adjacent to the highway and had an open-air worship service,  while the Police officers watched on.

Due to lot of commotion, the Sunday Worship Service was concluded in 30 minutes.

Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Maniyal said that all the local Church leaders were meeting to decide on the next course of action. Pastor has requested for the valuable prayers of the Church.
