School Buses  of Christian School vandalized, Odisha

School Buses of a Private School, have temporarily been put out of commission, because of an act of vandalism and intolerance.

Pastor Jimmy Thankachan who runs the St. Thomas English School, at Chhend Colony, Rourkela, Odisha, mentioned that on 06th October, religious fundamentalists targeted the School Buses that were parked outside the School Compound. The vandals badly damaged both the front and the back windows, which will need to be replaced –  he was yet find out how much the repairs will cost.

Pastor Jimmy assumes that the motive for the attack was another effort to discourage and unnerve him. Pastor recollects that 2 weeks ago, during Sunday Worship Service, local villagers had installed large speaker boxes and were playing film songs, above the permissible levels, in order to disrupt the worship servicthat takes place in the School.

There has also been a deliberate attempt to grab and encroach on School Land by the locals, which has been reported to the Police. Investigations are underway though no arrests have been made so far, he added.

Pastor mentioned that the Church was growing in the area which is not appreciated by the locals of the place.

Church, pray for God’s supernatural protection over places of worship and Christian Institutions.

Pray for Pastor Jimmy to stand strong as a witness and testimony for Jesus Christ in that neighborhood.
