REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS!
“_Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4_
*Ponder*.
Saul the Persecutor, now Paul the Praising Prisoner, knows by first-hand experience that rejoicing in the Lord can break chains and shackles. Paul and Silas sang in the prison in Philippi at midnight that caused an earth-shaking, chain- breaking and knee- jerking moment that brought a jailor to his knees who along with his household accepted Jesus and were baptized. Now, from the prison in Rome, he is encouraging the Church at Philippi that rejoicing brings God in the midst of any trials, persecution or prison. In his final exhortation to them, Paul emphasizes the need to rejoice in God even in the midst of trials which is a deliberate choice they as well as we ought to make.
*Commit*.
Are you able to rejoice in the Lord when facing difficult situations?
*Pray*.
Pray that rejoicing in the Lord in every situation will become a reality through the Holy Spirit’s empowerment.
