Radicals trespass into Church campus and beat Christians, Uttar Pradesh

Pastor Jose Prakash, Bro. Dinesh & 3 others were brutally beaten this today and have been admitted to a EHA hospital in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh in a critical condition.

After attending a prayer meeting at UP Mission, and a meeting at Broadwell Christian Hospital, they reached Broadwell Christian Hospital for a Baptism Service at ECI Church. While the Baptism service was in progress, a mob of religious fundamentalists, illegally trespassed into the Church Campus and brutally beat the Pastor along with 4 other brothers. The injured were rushed to the hospital with grievous internal injuries.

An FIR has been launched. No one has been apprehended so far.

Jesus Christ commands baptism for His followers. Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord by which those who have repented and come to faith express their union with Christ in His death and resurrection, by being immersed in water in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a sign of belonging to the new people of God, an emblem of burial and cleansing, signifying death to the old life of unbelief, and purification from the pollution of sin. It is purely an individual’s personal choice to take this step of faith.

Church, please remember Pastor Jose Prakash and the 4 brothers who have been hospitalized in your prayers.

Pray also for the enemies of the gospel that God would restrain their evil actions and for the conversion of their heart attitudes.
