Prabhu Jeshu Church vandalised in Matigara, West Bengal

A dreadful incident of vandalization of church happened took place in Matigara, Siliguri District, in West Bengal yesterday. Prabhu Jeshu Church is located on Asian Highway 2, Matigara was attacked by an unidentified person between 6:30-8 pm on 11th July 2018.

The miscreant broke 5 CCTV cameras and all the windows of the church. Later he was caught outside the church by the workers. The police of the area immediately rushed to the spot.

After interrogation, the Matigara police found that his name was Ranjit Paswan. He is in police custody at Matigara Police Station.

The entire community of the Matigara Church is deeply saddened by the incident and are praying so that the motive of the incident can be retrieved at the earliest. There is tension in the area. Police have started an investigation.
