Pastor’s Bike burned, AP

Pastor  John Paul alias Gangi Reddy, from Thondangi Mandal, A. V. Nagaram Village, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, has been ministering at Gethsemane Church since the year 2000. Around 80 believers gather every Sunday to worship.

On 18th April, 2018, Pastor had gone to the village Thondanegi along with his family, which is around 7 Km’s from A V Nagaram for a Prayer meeting. They returned around 11.30 pm and retired for the night. Around 12.30 am, they were awakened by urgent knocking on the door to find their bike set on fire and the neighbors trying to quench the fire.

Speaking to Persecution Relief Pastor John Paul said no Police complaint was made as it’s a interior place and the entire area is against us and Jesus Christ. He said that he did not wish to alienate the community further.

Pastor claimed that this was not the first time the Church was being attacked. 8 years ago, his father was brutally beaten for his faith in Jesus Christ. The Church building was burnt down to ashes the following year. One month ago, the windows of his church were broken and vandalized

Nevertheless, Pastor and his family are steadfast in his belief and faith in Jesus Christ.

Church please pray for Pastor and his community of believers.
