Pastor unable to return home, because  of threat from fanatics

It has been more than 2 days since Pastor Pappu Kumar returned home, to his wife and 4 Children aged 14 to 5 years, including 3 daughters, because of threats from fanatics.

Pastor Pappu Kumar has been targeted by religious fanatics for a long time now. In fact, a few months ago, fanatics gatecrashed into his Church and brutally beat Pastor in order to deter him from practicing his faith.

Pastor Pappu is serving the Lord with India Mission, located at Shahpur Patori situated in Samastipur district of Bihar, state in India.

Lately, one Bro. Ashok, originally from a Brahmin family, had committed his life to Jesus Christ. This created a big commotion in Bro. Ashok’s family members, who were forcing him to forsake Christ and return to his original faith.

Pastor Pappu had been targeted once again because of Bro. Ashok’s conversion and for his passion for spreading the love of Jesus Christ to the people in Bihar.

Recently, Pr Pappu was in Motihari, ministering at a fasting prayer meeting. He received a call on his mobile telephone from an anonymous number, enquiring if it was Pastor Pappu. When Pastor responded in the affirmative, the caller responded:

“I am the President of RSS and I would like to meet you and discuss about your religion and if I you convince me then I will become a Christian”

Pastor Pappu responded saying that Jesus didn’t teach us to add people to a religion and Jesus never came to establish a religion. The caller abruptly disconnected the line.

The next night, a few unidentified persons went to his home in an intoxicated state. Pastor was away while his wife and 4 children were alone at home. After knocking the door, they began interrogating and abusing Pastor’s wife, insisting that she give him Pastor’s mobile number.

Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Pappu mentioned that he is not worried about himself and affirmed that he will continue sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ whatever happens. However, he expressed concern about the well-being and safety of his family and was worried especially about his children, as their schools were due to reopen, soon after the vacations. He was concerned that no harm befalls them.

Church, continue praying for the Pastors, Leaders, Evangelists and their families as many families live in fear and uncertainty.

“In the fear of the Lord one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge”. Proverbs 14: 26
