“I took my wife to many places for healing; including temples, witch-doctors, etc. We spent lot of money on poojas but no relief” said *Pastor Ravi, husband of *Priya.
It was until the couple came to know of Christian Prayers in the Holy Spirit and when believers pray, God delivers and heals miraculously.
This is how, Priya received her deliverance from evil spirit, 4 years ago. Holy Spirit God touched her heart and filled her and her husband, who as a result started following Christ Jesus.
However, this story did not go unnoticed. “Some religious fanatics from our community were surprised how without any expenses, without going to any doctor or witchcraft people, without going far off places, people are getting healed freely, sitting at home, and they started asking ‘Who is this God?’“
Ravi, who now is Pastor Ravi, reported the concern of the witches and whorlocks that if christian prayer meetings continue, then all their tribe will start accepting Christ and ruin their business, thus they determined themselves to stop christian prayer meetings immediately.
Many people were healed through christian worship meetings and more crowds were attracted to attend these free services, which turned the fanatics of the tribe of Pastor Ravi, to turn against him.
They employed various ways of threatening. Some of them who instigated the local village community agreed amongst themselves to prevent Christians from meeting or talking to others in the village, under a penalty of 1100 Rs.
The fanatics personally threatened Pastor Ravi by sending religious fanatic gangs to beat him if he doesn’t comply.
The fanatics on their guard now, broke into a Christian wedding ceremony and threatened everybody.
Pastor Ravi had to submit a complaint against the fanatics at Kondali Police Station. Police arrested the fanatics but then released them soon enough.
More than 30 Christian families and total of 500 families living in the village of Pastor Ravi, are now facing persecution by reason of these fanatics who are instigating villagers against the Christians of them just as the scribes and pharisees were enticing the jews to persecute Paul and arrest him, in order to prevent the people from hearing the message of Christ.
1) Let’s pray that these fanatics repent from their unfair behavior, that they themselves get touched by the God the Holy Spirit, get convicted and filled with his love, so that they know the power of the love of God that transforms hearts and delivers.
2) Let’s pray for their salvation and deliverance, that they recognize the Lord Jesus their savior.
Let’s pray that the police too operate with justice and inquire fairly. That they get delivered from the spirit of religion that is blinding their eyes and blocking them to recognize the true God.
3) Let’s pray for the protection of the community members, that no harm will touch them, that every plan of the devil be broken in Jesus name.
