PASTOR SERVED NOTICE TO VACATE CHURCH & , SUMMONED BY POLICE, TAMIL NADU.
On Monday, the 2nd of September 2019, Persecution Relief received a call from Pastor Suresh, who lives in Nambiyur, a Panchayat town in the Erode district of the state of Tamil Nadu.
Pastor Suresh has been faithfully leading ‘The Church of The Living God Prayer Hall’ for many years but to his utter amazementhe was unexpectedly served with a notice from the Nambiyur Police Station. The notice has intimated Pastor Suresh to vacate the premises which he has leased for 10 years. Since its conception until date, the Church has been functioning without any obstacles or difficulties. What is astonishing is that the owner of the property, Mr Jayan Mal, has no issues with regards to the congregation meeting at his premises for prayer and worship.
The complaint was lodged by a man named Palani Samy who is apparently a member of the Hindu Munani. The Hindu Munnani is a religious and cultural group eatablished in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu which was designed to uphold Hinduism and preserve Hindu religious monuments.
Pastor Suresh will be appearing on Friday the 6th of September, 2019 at the Nambiyur Police station on account of the issued Notice.
