Pastor on Bike ambushed and beaten, Uttar Pradesh
A Pastor who was riding on his motorcycle, was followed by 3 unidentified assailants on another motorcycle and brutally beaten.
Pastor Prem Lal Singh ministers with “Yesu Satsang” in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, 16th May, at around 8.45 pm, while riding on his motorbike, running a personal errand near Saraswati Puram, Kharagpur, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, 3 unidentified youth, sped past, shouting abuses at him. Shocked by the incident, as Pastor slowed down, they attempted to push him down from the bike. The youth blocked his access, forcing him to stop and then brutally attacked him. Pastor alleged that they were hurling anti-Christian abuses while thrashing him.
The assailants had a sharp blade like object in their hands with which they gashed his face and chest, ripping his shirt. They hurled abuses and threatened him not to run the church in future.
When Pastor raised the alarm, the assailants fled leaving him stunned and horrified with attack. A complaint was later filed with Thinhat Police Station.
Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Vikas Gupta mentioned that it appeared like a pre-planned attack, adding that Pastor Prem and his family were really shaken up and terrified after this unprovoked brutal attack.
