Pastor Karan & elders of Church detained illegally at Police Station, Madhya Pradesh
Police took hold of 4 Christians identified as Pastor Karan, Bro. Kiram, Bro. Bhikha Baba and Bro. Bagwan Singh, while they were leading a prayer meeting on Sunday, 10th December at Kalibai Village in Madhya Pradesh
Pastor Karan is the Pastor of Bethel Church in Kalibai Village, located in Khategaon Tehsil in Dewas District of Madhya Pradesh. On Sunday, 10th December, as has been the practice in the past years, Pastor Karan along with 30 believers, were worshipping at the Church.
Around 11.30 am, a Police vehicle pulled up and Pastor Karan, Bro. Kiram, Bro. Bhikha Baba and Bro. Bagwan Singh were taken to the Khategaw Police Station without any warrant or warning. They have been detained in the Police Station even as this news was going to Press.
Persecution Relief Founder spoke to TI Town Inspector Mr. Tahjib Kaji who agreed to release the Christians. However, nothing has been done so far and these brothers continue to languish in jail. Police are apparently accusing them of forcible conversion of Hindus to Christianity and told them that they must stop the alleged activity immediately.
Church please pray for our brave warriors of Jesus Christ. Pray that their faith will not fail.
