Pastor imprisoned on false charges in Madhya Pradesh

Pastor Bhuru Bhandor, ministers in the village Badhawa, in Dewas District, Madhya Pradesh. Every Sunday, for the past 5 years, around 250 believers gather to worship.

On Wednesday, 17th January, Pastor was invited to a nearby village, under Kantaphod Police Station, for a prayer meeting. Around 2 pm, a mob of religious fundamentalists gate crashed into the house and began to falsely allege and abuse the Pastor of being involved in conversion activities.

By the grace of God, the congregation managed to secure the Pastor and they locked themselves from the inside. Police were summoned who arrived just in time to rescue the Pastor and the Christians.

Pastor Bhuru and Bro. Mahesh, S/O Manwar Singh Thakur, were both arrested and taken to the Police Station. At the time of this story was being published, both of them are still locked up as bail was denied.

Persecution Relief spoke to TI (Town Inspector) Dawar, who had confirmed this report.

Church, please lift up Pastor Bhuru and Bro. Mahesh to endure through this false imprisonment, without losing hoping in Jesus Christ.
