Pastor brutally thrashed and forced to stop Sunday worship service – Uttar Pradesh

Pastor Abhay Sagar has been shepherding a fellowship at the town of Biswan, in Sitapur District, Uttar Pradesh. Every Sunday, around 50 persons gather for the worship service.
This morning, 24th September, while service was in progress, a mob of religious fanatics illegally gate-crashed the meeting and began shouting slogans in the Church. The Pastor was threatened, abused and eventually brutally beaten by these religious fundamentalists. They eventually forced him to accompany them to the Police Station, where he has been detained.
Not only did they desecrate the sanctuary and the sanctity of the worship service, Police have arrested Pastor Abhay Sagar on accusation of conversion activities.
