Malicious and misleading anti-Christian report, Uttar Pradesh

Instigated by religious fanatics, a local Television Channel in Uttar Pradesh, aired a false, one-sided and provocative report, against the Christian community.

The Television Report alleged that people were being forcibly converted to Christianity, especially women. It further alleged that in name of Christianity, people were targeting the gullible strata of society, emotionally, financially or physically weak people, in their trap. It also maintained that Christians were guilty of insulting Hindu gods.

Hindu organizations endorsed the program by agreeing that conversions were rampant and without proper permissions.

The matter was brought to the notice of the CO Lalganj, who has assured the complainants that Police would crackdown upon anything that is illegal, and action would be taken.
