The Allahabad high court on Tuesday directed to hear a PIL after a week wherein it has been alleged that certain people are not allowing people of Christian community from attending Sunday school and also to undertake Sunday prayers in Birmer and Ahladpur villages of Kaushambi district.

The court, however, made it clear that in the meantime there may not be any restriction on attending Sunday school and prayer. But at the same time it asked the Kaushambi district administration to take legal action if any wrong or illegal activity is being undertaken by petitioners.
The court also directed the petitioners and the district administration to video graph the entire meet.
Hearing a PIL filed by one Roshan Lal and others, a division bench comprising Chief Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale and Justice Yashwant Varma directed to list the PIL after a week for the next hearing.
In the petition, it has been alleged that the district administration is not taking any adequate care to protect the people who are having faith in Christianity and they are not allowed to practice their religion. However, on Tuesday, the counsel for the state government argued that none of the petitioners is a Christian and therefore it can not be said that Christians are being prevented from attending Sunday school or prayer.
