Fanatics threaten to kill Pastor,Bihar
Fanatics walking back to their parked car after threatening Pastor
Pastor Pappu Kumar works with India Mission and serves in a village called Chak Salem which is located in the Patori Tehsil of Samastipur, a district in the Indian state of Bihar.
A few days ago, Pastor Pappu and his wife were waiting outside their home for their children who were on their way back from the school.
While they were waiting, a silver colored Indica car stopped a little ahead of their house. A man got out of the car and shouted out to him. As Pastor Pappu curiously walked towards the man, 3 more men suddenly jumped out of the car and grabbed him and started verbally abusing him. “We have been searching you for a while, why are you converting people? we will kill you!” said one of the men, in a fury.
Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Pappu said “I was scared that I began shouting on the top of my voice! The people in the vicinity came quickly to help me. As soon as people begun to gather, the men got into the car and sped away.
A while back, a few fanatics had begun to harass Pastor Pappu’s wife, so he approached the Women’s police station to report it, but they refused to Lodge a complaint. He then attempted to seek for help at the Harijan Police station but sadly they did not entertain him too. Pastor Pappu who, by now was desperately looking for some form of respite, decided to lodge a complaint with the police. He even showed them pictures of the car and the culprits which were taken by a family member on 21/11/19 but astonishingly, the Police also turned him away. After much effort, the complaint was finally registered at the Patori police station.
Incidents like these make it obvious that the Police and the fanatics who throw their weight around with the help of political support, are hand in glove.
Pastor Pappu has requested prayers for protection for him and his family.
