Fanatics threaten to demolish Believers home, Madhya Pradesh
Rev. Paul Sundaraj informed Persecution Relief about an incident involving Christian persecution that took place in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
According to Rev Sundaraj, on 3/10/19, Pastor Kamlesh Choure conducted a prayer meeting at the home of a Christian believer named Sriram. The meeting started at around 7:00pm with a few Christians gathering to pray. The prayer meeting went on for a couple of hours and as Pastor Kamlesh was about to bring it to a close, they suddenly heard some people banging and kicking the front door that was locked.
When they opened the door, they were shocked to find around a dozen angry people. The group of people then started shouting and hurling insults, accusing the believers of religious conversions. They demanded to see the Pastor and all the other believers who were attending the prayer meeting.
Meanwhile, Pastor Kamlesh Dialled 100 to call the Police who arrived after a while. There were 2 Policemen who tried to bring the situation under control, but the fanatics were very aggressive. Somehow, the police managed to take Pastor Kamlesh to the Kotwali Police station, they then asked the Pastor to give an explanation about what was going on inside the house. The Pastor then told them that Sriram, the owner of the house used to be bedridden but after praying for him, he was miraculously healed! He can now walk and also goes to work. After Sriram was healed he and his household put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, hence they had all gathered to pray together. After interrogating Pastor Kamlesh, the police let him go.
The Patrika Newspaper dated – 4/10/19 had reported this incident. In their article, they mentioned that the ‘Hindu Jagran Manch’ leaders were the ones to incite the angry group of people to stop the meeting.
Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Kamlesh said that Sriram and his family are being regularly intimidated by the fanatics. This is not all, the fanatics are also asking them to vacate their own house by 10/10/19, and if they fail to do so, the fanatics have threatened to demolish their house.
Church let us unite in prayer for the safety of Pastor Kamlesh, Sriram and his family. We must also pray for the Persecutors that The Lord May touch them as he touched Saul and changed his heart.
