EMBRACE SUFFERING AND ENDURE HARDSHIPS.
“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” Timothy 2:3
*Ponder*.
Suffering is a necessary part of a joyful Christian life. Here, Paul, in his letter to Timothy, is inviting him to join him in suffering for Christ like a good soldier. A good soldier will not abandon his duty on the battlefield, no matter how fierce the combat is. Likewise, a duty-bound soldier cannot quit but will complete his assignment by not being afraid to take risks or to face death. As Paul challenges Timothy to be among those like Paul who embrace suffering for Christ and face any persecution with boldness and courage, the same implies to us as well. A true follower of Christ is in a combat zone, not a comfort zone!

Are you willing to endure hardship in your call as a good soldier of Jesus in your Christian walk?

Pray that whenever you have to suffer for following Christ, you will not quit but will face hardship.
