Christians beaten up, Madhya Pradesh

On 01 June, 2018, religious fanatics illegally trespassed into the residence of Bro. Janglia Neenama from Gomala village located in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Fanatics disrupted the prayer meeting and indiscriminately beat up the Christians with lathis and iron rods.

Bro. Janglia’s was hosting a thanksgiving prayer meeting, thanking God for the marriage of his son Bro. Ramesh. The meeting commenced at 8.00 pm. Half hour into the meeting, suddenly a mob of religious fanatics gate crashed into the house, shouting abuses and terrorizing the assembled congregation, accusing them of indulging in conversion activities.

Soon they turned violent and brutally beat all that were assembled there.

Bro. Janglia, Bro. Rakesh and Bro. Arobai Makodia were grievously injured and were rushed to the government hospital for treatment.

Speaking to Persecution Relief, Pastor Bharat Singhad associated with SBGM, who was on his way to Bro. Janglia’s house, claimed that he got a call informing him about the situation and was asked to stay back.

After the attackers left, the group lodged a complaint with the local police station. Police are investigating.
