A Pastor and a Christian believer have been arrested as they were praying at the Believer’s home under the following Sections IPC 295A & 153A.
Section 295A: – Deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.
Section 153A: – Promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony.
On 30th December, Pastor Mansingh with his wife from Kondli in New Delhi, were invited by believer Bro. Brahmanand. Son of Sher Singh to pray in their home. As they were praying, Police barged into the house and asked for the prayer meeting to be stopped, since a complaint had been lodged by the Vice President of a local party alleging conversion activities were taking place.
Pastor and Bro. Brahmanand were arrested and escorted to the Police Station. They further falsely accused Pastor of offering money to convert.
Bishop Sonu Kumar, Chairman of Pastors Association, called Persecution Relief and provided this information. All efforts to secure the release of these 2 Christians through bail by the 1/1/18 are underway.
Church fervently pray for the release of Pastor Mansingh & Bro. Brahmanand and for God’s intervention and favour upon them.
