Amidst chaos and noisy scenes of screaming and crying of semi-orphan children and their parents, it took 7 hours to shift out 74 children to waiting buses, to take them to government state-run hostels. The children were of the age groups of 8 – 12 years, both boys and girls. Legal parents, in spite of raising objections, remained as mute spectators as their children were forcibly taken away by the authorities.

On the orders of the Rajasthan High Court, Child Welfare Committee (CWC) sealed the Headquarters and Branch Offices of Emmanuel Mission, Kota, Rajasthan, and confiscated all office equipment,  computers and records – seized allegedly to investigate any wrong doings.

Emmanuel Mission was established in 1960 and has been working for the orphaned, abandoned, poor, down trodden children of the society, providing them with their basic needs since 1977.

Jeevan Asha Hostel was established in 2016. It is managed by Jeevan Asha Educational Samiti. Emmanuel Mission has provided its facilities, on lease, to run the Hostel.

Emmanuel Missions, Rajasthan, are being accused by State Government, of running the orphanages without getting proper clearances from relevant authorities.

Pray for the children and for the management of Emmanuel Theological Society Hostels,

Pray that justice will prevail and God’s work will not be thwarted by any power or force.

  1. Absolutely sad. That authorities are taking recourse to such tactics to harass Christian NGOs. What a shame.
