COMING TO THE END OF OURSELVES

“Then Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of day.” Genesis 32:24

Ponder.

Jacob was on a tough journey at this time; he was left alone, and he was scared for his life. We learn that, although he was left alone, the Lord was with him. And He wrestled with him until the break of day. When we are in similar situations, when we are left alone, when we are scared for our lives, when we are awaiting trial for the sake of our faith, it is in these moments that we will be alone with our Lord, and we must allow Him to wrestle with us too, that we may come to the end of ourselves and our flesh and get ourselves surrendered in His presence.

Commit.

Are we able to sense the presence of the Holy Spirit, who makes encounters with us during our times of loneliness?

Pray.

Let us pray that we will have divine encounters with our Lord Jesus when we are fearful and lonely.

There are so many people persecuted all around you for their faith in Christ. In order for them to continue serving the Lord, would you mind forwarding this Daily Manna, so that they may fulfil the calling in their lives?
