Fake News clarification by Persecution Relief

Freedom of religion in India is a fundamental right guaranteed by Article 25-28 of the Constitution of India.

Further Article 25 (1) in The Constitution of India 1949 states
(1) Subject to public order, morality and health and to the other provisions of this Part, all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the right freely to profess, practice and propagate religion. This is what the Indian Constitution declares.

Persecution Relief has been receiving an alarming number of messages, requesting confirmation on the authenticity of the news about a Honorable “Supreme Court ruling”, that has been doing its rounds on Social Media.

We wish to confirm that the content is fake, inaccurate, illegal, false, misleading and fabricated. Such inaccurate reports, masquerading as credible news with authentic looking names and logos are an attempt to deceive, inflame passions and sentiments and grossly irresponsible.

We ask that greater attention be given to the source of news before simply retweeting or sharing. If in doubt, please consult a fact-finding site or contact us:

  3. I knew it because there is no commission as such in India, that has authority to pass such orders.Secondly,no govt notification will have so many grammatical errors. If at all any such decisions are made,it is authoritatively made public through the Minority Commision.which is a govt body to look after minority issues.Such messages as this is really misleading.
